The first half of the year has been shaped by a global environment in which geopolitical uncertainty, rapid technological development and rising demands on preparedness continue to reshape both society and business. In this context, the right skills, responsible and secure technology, and the ability to collaborate across sectors are decisive. Combitech has therefore continued to invest in employee development, methodological innovation and advanced computing capacity, with a particular focus on AI, cyber security, digitalisation and total defence.
As the pace of change accelerates and the operating environment evolves, developing technology alone is not enough. Real value comes when human expertise, new ways of working and advanced technologies reinforce one another. Therefore, Combitech has used AI-based tools to listen broadly to employees' perspectives on transformation, development and culture. The initiative is part of the company’s vision, The Home for Human Superpower – a place where people’s capabilities and skills grow alongside technology and translate into robust solutions for customers, society and defence.
Cyber security that strengthens preparedness and defence
Total defence continues to occupy a central place in public debate. The role of the private sector, the need for resilient solutions, and the importance of building capabilities together are being discussed more widely than before. These are questions Combitech has raised for years, and that the company’s annual Total Defence Report continues to highlight.
A significant development in strengthening critical infrastructure was the framework agreement awarded to Combitech by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) within the field of cyber security. Through this agreement, Combitech can contribute to enhancing the protection, resilience and interoperability of the communications and information systems that support the Alliance.
“We are proud that the NATO Communications and Information Agency have awarded Combitech a framework agreement in cyber security. It is a strong endorsement of our expertise and our ability to contribute to greater security and cooperation internationally. We are also seeing growing engagement around preparedness and total defence across the Nordic region, and through stronger collaboration between industry, the public sector and other actors in society, we can build a more resilient society together,” says Jessica Öberg, CEO of Combitech.
