A closed, resource-efficient, secure ecosystem
Safezone Secure Environment (SSE) is a closed, resource-efficient, secure ecosystem for work in, for example, collaborative projects or development projects (SSDLC, DevSecOps) with high security classification.
Today, there is more reason than ever to protect sensitive information. This can involve legal requirements such as GDPR, the Security Protection Act, company confidentiality requirements, competitive advantages and intellectual assets, as well as protecting users from accidentally disseminating sensitive information.
There are many challenges in a multi-user environment that needs to handle sensitive information. To ensure information security, it is necessary to have control over identities and their access, traceability in the system, and to trust that the information remains unchanged through external influence, retaining its integrity.
Other challenges include administrative efficiency. How do you ensure that users have the right tools, that the waiting times to access their tools are minimized? And that they can access exactly the information they need and nothing else?
Safezone Secure Environment is a complete and fully enclosed environment where information security is the starting point. All tools and applications are preconfigured. Projects, teams, and groups are defined, and the system is configured to provide the necessary separation between them. For example, different projects should not have access to the same data or applications.
Resources needed are connected to the platform and later allocated to the user environment according to the individual user's needs.
Safezone Secure Environment provides a template-generated user instance (isolated virtual client) that the user accesses via the SSE client (which can be a thin client). A secure tunnel is established between the client and SSE. Authentication can be done using 2-factor authentication (Smartcard, Yubikey, RSA, etc.).
Development department – A development department can be divided into several different development teams or projects where the needs for tools and access to issue tracking, version control, build environments, etc., may vary. The administrative work to maintain this management is both time-consuming and in many cases also a major security risk. The platform is very suitable when developing systems with high security classification in combination with secure development methods, SSDLC, etc.
Collaboration platform – Another example is as a collaboration platform or other temporary activity where several preconfigured systems need to interact together with so-called thin clients. The administrator can easily and quickly distribute all user instances with their unique conditions and rights. And at the end of the project, quickly restore the system to its original starting point. Particularly suitable when handling information with high security classification.
Secure application platform – If you need to isolate sensitive information and applications, these can be placed in Safezone Secure Environment to ensure that the information cannot be extracted. A user in the system then only has access to the information and applications they are authorized to, for example, Combitech Security Clearance Manager, whose data is sensitive from a security perspective.
